Feature

Stop hand-typing expiration dates off scanned certs.

Upload the document. Nexus reads it. You confirm. Done.

What it does

When you upload a worker certification (PDF or image), Nexus uses AI to read the document and pull out the credential type, the worker name, the issuing body, the issue date, and the expiration date. You confirm or correct, and the structured data lands in the worker's record.

Works on the formats most commonly used by training providers, state agencies, and accreditation bodies for asbestos worker, asbestos supervisor, lead RRP, HAZWOPER, OSHA 10/30, and CPR cards. We add more formats when customers send us examples that fail.

Bulk upload

Have a folder of scanned certifications? Drag the whole batch in. Nexus parses each one, matches it to the right worker by name, and queues the results for a single confirmation pass. Onboarding a crew from PDFs and phone photos is a sitting-down-with-coffee job, not a week.

Workers don't have to exist in Nexus first. If a document comes in with a name that doesn't match any existing worker, the confirmation screen offers to create the worker record on the spot. You're not running a two-step import (set up the workers, then upload their credentials); you can start from an empty roster and a stack of cards and end up with a populated crew, each one with their credentials attached, in a single pass.

How we handle your documents

Documents are sent to our AI provider for parsing under commercial terms that prohibit training on the content and limit retention to short-term abuse monitoring. Parsed data is stored in your Nexus database under your organization's tenancy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Security page.

What it's not

It's not a credential authenticity check. It reads the document; it doesn't verify with the issuing body that the credential is real and active. For that, your team still needs to do its normal verification (training provider lookup, state license registry check). The parser saves you typing, not verification.
