SMS Messaging Terms

Nexus Software LLC ("Nexus") provides software that asbestos abatement, demolition, and environmental remediation contractors use to run their crews. On an employer's behalf, Nexus can send work-schedule text messages to that employer's workers who have agreed to receive them. This page describes that messaging program.

What messages you'll receive

If you are a worker whose employer uses Nexus and you have opted in, you may receive SMS text messages containing your upcoming work schedule — the jobs you are assigned to, the dates, start times, job site addresses, and your foreman. Crew leads may also receive their crew's schedule.

A typical message looks like this:

Messages may also be sent in Spanish based on a worker's preference.

How workers opt in

Enrollment is not available to the general public. Workers are existing employees of the contractor that uses Nexus. A worker opts in in person — during onboarding or at a regular job-site check-in — when their supervisor collects their mobile number on an intake form that states:

"I agree to receive weekly work-schedule text messages from my employer, sent via Nexus. Message frequency is about one message per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of employment."

A worker's mobile number is added only after they provide this consent. Consent is never purchased, rented, sold, or shared.

Message frequency

Frequency varies, but is typically about one message per week (the upcoming week's schedule), plus occasional schedule updates.

Cost

Nexus does not charge for these messages, but message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

How to opt out

You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP (or OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE) to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. You can resubscribe by replying START, or by asking your supervisor to opt you back in.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are used solely to deliver these messages and are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for their own purposes.
